Communication & Organisational Dynamics Consulting
I help sports organisations remove communication chaos and unlock hidden capacity.
For governing bodies, clubs and sports organisations, the real bottleneck is rarely a lack of talent — it is the friction between people, channels and expectations. I work with leadership teams to diagnose where communication runs hot, cold or silent, and redesign the protocols that turn noise into momentum.

What we do
Thermal audits, workshops and protocol redesign.
My work is built around a four-step diagnostic: a Thermal Audit to map how information actually moves through an organisation; a Bottleneck Workshop to surface where decisions stall and expertise goes unheard; Root-Cause Synthesis to separate structural issues from cultural assumptions; and Protocol Redesign to create clear, accountable ways of working people trust and follow.
The approach is independent, confidential and practical. No off-the-shelf frameworks. No generic slide decks. Every intervention is scoped to the organisation, its people and the pressure they are working under.
Who it is for
Governing bodies, clubs and leadership teams.
I work with organisations that are growing fast, navigating change or simply tired of the same conversations going around in circles. Typical clients include National Governing Bodies, academy leadership, club boards, and senior coaching teams who need an external voice to name what everyone is already feeling but no one has said out loud.
The output is not another report on a shelf. It is a clear understanding of the current communication landscape, a short list of high-leverage changes, and hands-on support as new protocols are adopted.
“High-performance failures are rarely technical. They are miscommunications born from assumptions, missing information, and distorted perspectives.”
Credibility
From the sideline to the boardroom.
This consulting practice grew out of twenty-five years spent inside the game — not just observing the sport, but listening to the people doing the work. Having played, coached and led at many levels, I eventually stepped back to talk directly with grassroots coaches. I wanted to understand why so many talented, committed volunteers were exhausted by parts of the job that had nothing to do with tactics or budgets.
The answer was communication — or the lack of it. Parents second-guessing decisions from the sideline. Group chats that never stopped. Volunteers carrying responsibility without authority. That realisation led to the ACE framework, first as a manual for youth coaches, then as the ACE Coach App, and now as the lens through which I help sports organisations diagnose and redesign their own communication dynamics.
The ACE Lens
Alignment, Composure, Edge.
The ACE framework — Alignment, Composure, Edge — is the thread that connects the coaching work and the consulting work. Alignment is about cognitive clarity and communication mapping. Composure is about state regulation and trust under pressure. Edge is about perceptual advantage and turning insight into action.
Whether I am working with a parent-coach on a Tuesday night or a leadership team on a strategy away-day, the same question applies: are your people aligned, composed and sharp enough to act on what they know?
Let's talk about what is slowing your organisation down.
